Selling your DIY cosmetic products in the UK: 5 steps to compliance

This course is aimed at independent (home-based) cosmetic makers who want to start selling their products in the UK. Its objective is to familiarise the participants with the regulatory requirements for making cosmetic products for sale in the UK and the steps to achieve compliance. The course is built on the 5 key steps, or stages, in a recommended order for completion: 1. Understanding your product: materials, safety documents and recordkeeping 2. How to get a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) 3. Writing your first Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) document 4. Compiling your first Product Information File (PIF) 5. How to complete regulatory registrations: the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) and HMRC. Upon completing the course, the participants have developed a good understanding of the key requirements for cosmetic makers in the UK.
